Music is at the heart of worship at St George’s. Three choirs, a fine organ, and a choral tradition stretching back to the founding of the parish.
Our Parish Choir of men, boys, and girls carries on one of Ireland’s few remaining traditional choral foundations.

Seven centuries
of prayer.
Christian worship has been offered on this spot for more than seven hundred years. The present church, consecrated in 1816, stands on the site of the medieval Chapel of the Ford.
Its great Corinthian portico—older than the church itself—was salvaged from the Earl-Bishop’s palace at Ballyscullion and given new life on High Street.
